Those Believes David Killed Goliath With The Power Of The Holy Spirit Are Wrong-Read Why
The presiding priest of the Catholic Archdiocese in Abuja, Reverend Father Oluoma Chinenye John, popularly known as Fada Oluoma, preached to his members on a topic, “Spiritual Unction, Strategic Action”, and discussed how David killed Goliath in the war between the Israelites and the Philistines. He said those who think David killed Goliath with the power of the Holy Spirit are wrong.
Buttressing his points, he acknowledged that the Holy Spirit of God was in David, however, he used strategic action and wisdom to kill him. Furthermore, he said Goliath was armoured all over his body and he had an assistant warrior who held his shield for him. He concluded by saying that such a warrior couldn’t be killed by a mere spear or arrow, but David used wisdom and strategic action, not the power of the Holy Spirit, to discover that the only place he could strike was Goliath’s forehead.
In the video, Father Oluoma said: “Spiritual unction and strategic action is what we need. How did David kill Goliath? Some people think it was through the power of the Holy Spirit; they’re wrong. Yes, David had the spirit of God and was anointed, but how did he kill Goliath? It was through strategic action.
“Goliath was a mighty man, and we were told that hew as heavily armoured from head to toe. He even had a defender who was holding his shield. What will you do to that kind of man? If you throw arrow or spear, it won’t harm him. It was only one place that was vulnerable, and it was his forehead. So, David used strategic action and wisdom to kill him, not the power of the Holy Spirit”.
