The paramount chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area in the Western North Region has underscored the need and importance of tree planting in the country stressed that, trees saves life and when the last tree dies the last man will also die .
Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll , who is also a member of the Western North regional house of chiefs, a member of the council of state and a Board Member of the Forestry Commission also urged the public to see the need of the exercise and get involve in this year’s edition of the Green Ghana Project under the theme ; Our Forests , Our Health , Lets Go Planting.
According to Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll, the Green Ghana Project exercise which was introduced by this government has come to stay and he hoped it will be sustainable.
He commended the government through the Lands and Natural Resources ministry for implementing this agenda which Nananom in the entire country has embraced.
