Wassa Amenfi MCE Donates Sewing Machines And Cash To Tailors And Dressmakers Association
In an event organized by Tailors and Dressmakers Association to graduate students who have gone through the apprenticeship process at Wassa Japa, the Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East Assembly, Hon. Frederick Korankye has donated 6 new sewing machines and an amount of Ghc2,000.00 to the association.
Hon. Korankye said, the items is to enable the association enroll individuals who wish to acquire the apprenticeship skills but do not have the resources to be enrolled.
Speaking during the graduation event, encouraged the youth in the community to take key interest in learning trade as it’s the surest way of reducing unemployment situation in the community and country at large.
Added, government is putting plans in place to award NVTI Certificates to individuals who enroll in apprenticeships training under the association.
He congratulated the graduands and asked them to make good use of what they have learnt to benefit the community and municipality at large.
He also encouraged them to register their businesses with the Business Advisory Center (BAC) in order for them to take advantage of the services the center renders.
