Yesterday, 24th June 2023, the Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East Municipality, Hon. Frederick Korankye( Adwumawura) joined the Chief, Assembly member and the people of Wassa Abreshia to cut sod for construction of a 3-unit Classroom block with office and ICT Lab to be used as JHS.

This project when completed will ease the burden of pupils who have to travel to Wassa Nananko to continue their basic school from class six to JHS because of lack of JHS at Abreshia.

Hon. Frederick Korankye presented 50 bags of cement for the start of the project and also pledged to Nananom that, the Assembly will continue to support the project with building materials and technical support whiles the community takes care of labour component of the project.

It is expected that the foundation work will start on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 and it is expected that by the end of this academic year, at least, one classroom will be available for JHS 1 pupils when school reopens for 2023/2024 academic year.
