Three Organizations Organises Clean-Up Exercise In Suame Constituency
As part of measures to ensure sanitation challenges are being managed properly, Agyenkwa FM Ahonidie Mmere under Damak Sanitation Health Watch Incollaboration with Voice From Heaven Chapel and the Suame Municipal Assembly have organised a clean-up exercise in their quest to keep the Municipal clean and safe.
Commencing the cleaning exercise from the Suame around-about and end at Mathias junction a sunbed within the municipality, was a well-planned idea to create awareness and further inform the public to the need to keep environment clean and safe.
Speaking to the organisers of the programme, the General Manger of Agyenkwa FM, Prince Atta Gyamfi and Daniel Mbabugri Akgri, Director of Damak Sanitation Health watch and host of Agyenkwa Ahonidie Mmere, Mr Atta Gyamfi expressed his satisfaction about the overwhelming turn-out and thanked Voice From Heaven Chapel congregation and Suame Municipal Assembly for ensuring that the programme executed successfully.
Stressing on the sustainability of the exercise, he emphasized that its not going to be a one day programme even though its the first of it kind but, will appeal to corporate organisations and institutions to support them in order to continue subsequent events that’s ahead of them.
Mr. Atta Gyamfi averred that, sanitation he said, is a collective responsibility hence its the need for every well-meaning Ghanaian to let cleanness be their hallmark.
Stressing further, he suggested that government should consider enforcing the sanitation laws to be stiffer and punishable so that those indiscriminate disposed waste are punished to scare people from such practice.
On his behalf, the director of Damak Sanitation Health Watch and Host of Ahonidie Mmere, the main organizer of the program, Daniel Mbabugri Akugri, also thanked the participants for their commitment to participating actively, ensuring that the exercise becomes successful.
Added, plans are still underway to extend the program to another constituency in the region because Damak Sanitation Health Watch is the mother-child of Ahonidie Mmere…and the outfit has since in established and committed to keeping our cities clean at all times. Thus, he encouraged institutions and individuals organized to come to the aid of Damak Sanitation so that together, we can be able to protect our environment from felt.
Speaking to the media after the exercise, Rev. Elisha Zoug, who spoke on behalf of the founder of Voice From Heaven Chapel, Rev. Mathew Y. Bozog, advised the general public to always make sure waste that generated by them is properly disposed of so that together a country, we can keep Ghana clean and safe.
Pastor Elisha Zoug added continue entreaties Ghanaians not to let guard of their quest to keep their surroundings clean at all times because the Bible say cleanness is next to Godiness and ensure that their health and safety lies surely on clean environment.
Ishmael Asamoah, the Suame Municipal Environmental Health Officer also noted that the Municipal is committed to collaborate and support organisers that will take steps to help clean the environment and congratulate the organisers coupled with appeal to them to continue on the agenda.
