COP Kofi Boakye Misses IGP Position Because He Once Arrested Me-Chairman Wontumi Brags
The Ashanti regional chairman for the ruling party, NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi has bragged on one of his televison station Movement Tv that, COP Kofi Boakye retired as Commissioner of Police (COP) and not being promoted as Inspector-General of Police (IGP) due to the way he once arrested him.
Mr. Bernard Antwi-Boasiako popularly called Chairman Wontumi revealed that the way COP Kofi Boakye when the NPP was in opposition, led to his downfall in the police service.
In a studio interview with Mr. Gordon Asare-Bediako on Movement TV’s Bekyere Mu Show which was monitored by Movementtvonline.com, Chairman Wontumi stated that Kofi Boakye used to be called “IGP” even though he was just a DCOP.
He quick to add that he however missed the opportunity due to the way he handled things when the NPP was in opposition.
“Kofi Boakye when the NPP was in opposition, he used to be called IGP. His dream failed to materialize on the very day he arrested me. He saw Canaan but he never stepped foot there”, Chairman Wontumi said.
