Mining Engineer Supports Voting Exercise At Sewfi Wiawso
Festus Bumagama Agyapong, the son of the Paramount Chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area (SWTA), has rolled out interventions to support persons who have attained the age of eighteen years and are expected to partake in the Electoral Commission’s (EC) Voters’ Registration exercise in the Sefwi Wiawso municipal of the Western North region.
Part of the support by Bumagama Agyapong, an America-based mining engineer is the provision of transportation service to ferry these youth from the nook and cranny of the municipal to get them registered at EC’s district office and take them back to their various place of abode.
Apart from transportation assistance, Agyapong, who is a great son of the land and admired by many people, is also providing breakfast and launch meals for the participants of the 21-day constitutional exercise.
In an interaction with the media, Festus Agyepong noted that the intervention aims to make the EC registration process easier for the youth who have attained eighteen years but do not have means of transport to partake in the exercise and thereby exercising their franchise in the upcoming General Elections which is slated for December 2024.
The intervention, Bumagama Agyepong, indicated that could go a long way in helping fresh voters acquire voter identification cards.
