Gov’t Urged To Build Strong Cybersecurity Systems With Indigens
The Chief Executive Officer for Slamm Technologies Mr Samuel Boateng has urged the government to empower and train Ghanaian youth in cybersecurity systems to strengthen the country in cybersecurity activities.
According to him, if the government resources Ghana indigens to build our security infrastructures without any help of foreigners the country’s cybersecurity will be fortified and prevent external hackers and it will also help in employment creation.
He indicated that since the country is improving in digitalization it is very important as a nation to pay critical attention to building a strong cybersecurity system to protect the country’s data.
Mr. Samuel Boateng made this remarks in the news sideline when the Slamm Foundation gave free training to 400 youth both Great Accra and the Ashanti Region.
He stated that there are well-endowed IT and Cybersecurity experts that the government should support to train the youth to build Ghana cybersecurity systems.
Madam Francisca Boateng Executive Director for Slamm Foundation explained to the media the purpose of the free cybersecurity training they gave to the 400 youth.
For his side, Mr Dennis Quarshie, a cyber security expert advised Ghanaians to be cybersecurity conscious to avoid being victims to cyber crimes.
