Creation Of Western North Region Has Yielded Positive Impact-Wiawsomanhene Hints
The Paramount chief of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area has commended the Akufo Addo government for making sure of the creation of the Western North region in 2019 which is fast developing.
Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll, a member of the Western North Regional House of Chiefs, a member of the National House of Chiefs and a member of the Council of State made the remarks in his address to the indigenes, residents and people from all walks of life who attended the climax of this year’s Annual Elluo Festival 2023 that, the creation of the region was a blessing to them.

According to Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll, the Western North region is blessed with various natural resources and safety also has its share.
He added that the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area is blessed with forest reserves which he has vowed to protect from illegal chainsaw operations and illegal logging activities.
The paramount chief further hinted that as a member of the Forestry Commission Board, he always make sure the forest reserves within all his paramountcy are well protected.
Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama ll also commended the government for initiating Science, Technology and Mathematics ( STEM ) education which Sefwi Wiawso and the Western North region have benefited.
The paramount chief of the Axim traditional area, Awulae Ati Brukusu,
Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi ll, safe Anwhiasomanhene and the president of the National House of Chiefs,
Dormaahene and the president of the Bono regional house of chiefs, Osadeayo Agyeman Badu including other prominent chiefs from all walks of life were at the event.
Added, the Tetrete Akuamoa Sekyim, paramount chief of Wassa Amenfi traditional area and the board chairman of the Forestry Commission was also present.
