Hon. Frederick Korankye Received Electrical Materials For Tieku & Konkonso Rural Electrification Project
The Municipal Chief Executive for Wassa Amenfi East Municipality, Hon. Frederick Korankye has received electrical materials for Tieku & Konkonso communities to be connected unto the national grid as part of National Rural Electricification Project.
Receiving the materials, The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frederick Korankye expressed his profund gratitude to the Ministry of Energy and Electricity company of Ghana for fulfilling their promise made to him during their previous encounter.
The Municipal Chief Executive has also extend his gratitude to the good people of Tieku and Konkonso communities especially the unit committee and Nananom of both communities for their selfless, dedication and patience during the entire process.
Hon. Frederick Korankye, Adwumawura noted that the electrification project is part of government’s National Electrification Scheme since 1990 and is aimed at reducing poverty especially in rural areas.
“Government believes the scheme will also create jobs in the rural areas, thus reducing the rate of rural to urban migration and most importantly contribute significantly towards the achievement of universal access to electricity, a minimum of 90 per cent by 2025″
