Proposed Import Restriction: Minority Kicks Against LI
The minority caucus in Parliament have kicked against the proposed import restriction, demanding the withdrawal of the Legislative Instrument that seeks to restrict the importation of some selected items into the country.
Minority leader Cassiel Ato Forson says the proposal in its current state will breed corruption and cronyism in the country considering the level at which measures were not put in place to mitigate or substitute when the LI is pasted.
