No Room For Galamsey Activities Under My Tenure Of Office-Hon. Owusu Ansah Hints
The District chief executive for the Ahafo Ano south east district of the Ashanti region has sounded a very strong word of caution to illegal miners ( Galamseyers) to advice themselves not to venture into the Ahafo Ano south east district with the motive and intention of operating illegal mining activities.
Hon Thomas Owusu Ansah, the DCE and the chairman of the District Security Council ( DISEC ) made these revelations after members of DISEC stormed Galamsey sites in Adugyama to set excavators ablaze at illegal mining sites.

According to Hon Thomas Owusu Ansah , illegal mining activities over the years has caused total pollution to the country’s water and river bodies, forest reserves and the entire environment which is a very worrying development.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo has tasked all his appointees particularly those within the local level who are his representatives to make sure illegal miners are always flushed out which he met all Metropolitan, Municipal and District chief executives in the Ashanti region barely a couple of years ago in the Ashanti regional capital in Kumasi to task them to collaborate effectively with the various security agencies, the traditional authorities and other key stakeholders to help fight the Galamsey menace.
Hon Thomas Owusu Ansah after assuming office as the DCE for the Ahafo Ano south east in barely 3 years has been developmental oriented in all sectors and has poised to deliver to the chiefs and people of his district in his tenure of office.
