Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi Files Nomination Forms To Contest Ejisu By-election As Independent Candidate
The former Member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency, Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi has filed nomination forms to contest the Ejisu by-election scheduled to come off Thursday, 30th April 2024.
Speaking to the media after filing his nomination explained his decision to contest as independent following some issues bothering the party’s guidelines and regulations that were supposed to be dealt with by the leadership of the party.
According to Hon. Aduomi, he was cruelly treated by the rank and file of the party which he believes was a deliberate attempt to stop him from contesting the seat again.
Adding that, the then diabolical agenda of the party to shun him from the race, the party elected polling station officers at midnight signifies how the party intend to favour a particular candidate.
Speaking extensively on how the party failed to iron the issues that question the integrity of the party’s guidelines, he sees no reason to compete in the primaries because the album that was compiled by them was to favour one person…and when some of the constituency executives took it up, to the Regional executives, national executives and even to Hon. Cecilia Daapah’s Committee, they were called of which they presented to the committee with evidence in pictorial yet nothing happen but rather kowtow to the price of selfish and character betrayal interest.
“When the issues came up, I consulted the party’s National Executives and leadership of the Constituency to help resolve them but nobody was willing to do so with a reason best known to them alone”…many are saying I want to destroy the NPP no, I have no intention in doing that, it’s the leaders of the party wanted to destroy their party for personal gains.
Speaking on his comeback, Hon. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi estimated that, the chiefs and people in the constituency had seen the imperativeness of his leadership when he was the MP and decided to support his comeback.
Hon. Aduomi recounting his achievement when he was the MP averred that, he used his resources to construct some projects in the constituency simply because leadership is about letting your people know that you are indeed that leader they can confidently trust.
According to him, he constructed a 2-storey children’s block at Ejisu government hospital, a Research Center at Krapa, an NHIA office at Tikrom, a 6-unit classroom block at Atonso Aso, a farming community, 3-SHS at Freso, Korase near Kwaso, Assinepong, 80- stores market at Bonwire and all roads in the constituency were mostly completed.
Hon. Kwabena Aduomi however believed the achievements he left for the constituency, is a duty called for him to come and continue…hence appealed to the constituents to see the need why he deserved to lead them as their MP and vote for him on the 30th of April 2024.
