Atlantic Lithium Limited To Be Listed On The GSE Next Week-CEO Of Mincom Hints
The Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission has disclosed that the Atlantic Lithium Limited which has its mine location in Ewoyaa in the Mfantseman municipality of the central region will be listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange next week Monday.
According to Mr Martin Kwaku Ayisi, all the necessary negotiations between the Government of Ghana through the Lands and Natural Resources ministry, and the traditional authorities within the area have already been concluded successfully.
Appearing on the Ekosii sen afternoon program show on Accra-based Asempa FM, Mr Martin Ayisi appealed to Ghanaians to take advantage and buy shares in the company after it was listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange.
The Minerals Commission CEO hinted that Ghana is blessed with natural resources including the discovery of the Lithium mineral which will go a long way to create lasting employment opportunities for Ghanaians.
Mr Martin Ayisi further disclosed that the Minerals Commission is there to create opportunities for Ghanaians to come up into mining and that mining has made a lot of Ghanaians rich.
He hinted that Ghana Bauxite is majority-owned by Ghana and that we need to be proud of that as a citizenry.
Local content in mining according to the Mincom CEO goes to Ghanaians.
Mr Martin Ayisi expressed worry about how the then Tarkwa mines, Prestea mines, and Dunkwa Continental mines were collapsed by Ghanaians becomes of Ghana’s unwillingness to invest in them some years ago which calls for worry.
He also expressed worry about previous military regimes which took over state mining firms in Ghana.
The Chief executive officer of the Minerals Commission disclosed also that plans by this government are far advanced for Ghana to get its refinery for Bauxite, and manganese which he said will happen very soon.
Mr Martin Kwaku Ayisi commended the Hon minister for the Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo for making the headway and the initiative which will benefit Ghana and will be in history.
