Members Of GNASSM Blame Executives Over Lack Of Transparency
Grassroots Members of the Ghana National Small Scale Members have expressed their disappointment over what they described as a lack of transparency, accountability and non-attendance of meetings as the association constitution stipulates.
In a press Release to press down their concerns to the general public membership notice, leaders of the group lamented angrily that; the Association’s constitution stipulates that in January of every year, the association are mandated to organize an Annual General Meeting to account for its members. But for the past four years, such activities have not been carried out.
The press statement explained further that since the executives took their respective positions on 18th June 2020, they woefully failed to perform their constitutional duties.
Quoting the association Article 18.3.5 estimated that it has stipulated that, the third week of every January, executives are expected to hold annual General meetings to address issues bothering the association and its financial stance of the association to members but nothing of the sort has been done explain how wasteful the executives have become which is strengthen the future of GNASSM.
That notwithstanding, the constitutional mandate of officers expired 8th of June this year yet, the date to elect new executives has not been communicated to members which poses serious concerns to members and wishes to bring to the public attention. They have henceforth served notice to afflicted organisations not to deal with anyone presenting him or her as leader(s) of Ghana National Small SaleMinerss Association.
