Members Of GNASSM Are Up In Arms With Excutives, As They Demand Their Resignation
A group believed to be Nembers of the Ghana National Association of Small Scale Miners (GNASSM) are up in Arms with their leadership for lack of transparency, accountability and refusing to organize elections to elect new executives for the association.
The group earlier on raised red flags about the ineffectiveness of executives since they assumed their respective positions, stressing that their performance towards sustaining the association is not up to the constitutional mandate and does not deserve to still hold on to their positions.
They Members averred that, the executives have failed to account to them per the Association’s constitutional requirements. “The constitution says, every January, executives have to organize Annual General Meetings to brief members about the progress of the association. but after taking over, nothing of such have been done”.
According to them, the executives have neglected them, failed to provide them with enough information, lack of transparency, and lack of direction…and all these are factors bothering them.
More importantly, executives have also failed woefully to adhere to the Association’s Constitution which is the pivotal lense of the association.
Having accommodated all these grievances for very long, they deem it humble to direct every executive member to desist from holding himself or herself as an executive member to help protect the intigrity of the Ghana National Association of Small-Scale Miners.
