A group associated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ashanti Region calling itself Umbrella Movement has given the Manager of Kumasi Kejetia, Dr. Kofi Tuffour to renegotiate with them in line with their initial plans to celebrate the group’s 15th anniversary.
The group in a press conference to press down their concerns about the lackadaisical attitude of the manager stated unequivocally that, they can say with authority that, the KMA mayor is behind the sudden u-turn of Manager’s decision to cancel the scheduled date for the program and they are sending a cogent warning to the manager and the NPP that, if they failed to allow them (Umbrella Movement) celebrates their anniversary, they should make sure no other political party will be allowed to perform any political activities in the market.
According to them, they sent a letter of request, and it was granted and given a permit to hold the program…but they were surprised that the program was canceled. Additionally, they tried all possible means for Dr. Tuffour to tell them his reasons for canceling the program but proved futile.
” We want to remind you that, the position you are holding is the NDC that built the market and the political campaign that you are doing in the market, he should be mindful that, when the tables turn, he will have himself to be blamed”.

The group communication officer, addressing the media urging Dr. Kofi Tuffour to resign his decision because they will not relent in organizing the program whether he likes it or not.
