Outspoken member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Agyapong has apologized to his supporters for not informing them before joining the Vice President and his campaign team on the Ashanti Regional campaign tour.
He was emphatic that he has not resigned from the NPP nor is he considering running as an independent candidate, despite calls by his backers to do so.
“Joining the Vice President to the Ashanti region did not go down well with some of you. Let me apologize for not informing you before I went there. What I want all party people to know is I have not resigned from the party and I am not going independent, I am still an NPP member.” Mr Agyapong told his supporters during his birthday party celebration.
He also urged the supporters of the Vice President and his supporters to unite ahead of the December elections.
“It will be best for the party to come together. I am pleading with my supporters, let’s use my birthday to reconcile. I will also plead with the vice president’s supporters not to intimidate my supporters if they want us to come together, they should reciprocate the same favours I am rendering.”
“Now there are no Kenedy Agyapong supporters, Vice President’s supporters, its NPP supporters. With a united front, we can win the election in 2024.” Kenedy Agyapong maintained.
