Forum For Accountability And Development Of Sefwi (FADOS) Lauds Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama
Forum for Accountability and Development of Sefwi has applaud the Paramount chief of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, HRM. Katakyie Kwasi Bumangama for the donation made towards the Heal Konfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) project spearheaded by HRM. Otumfuor Osei Tutu II.
FADOS finds the donation as a course worthy of pursuing.
*Background*
It must be placed on record that KATH is the biggest referral health facility available to all inhabitants of the Western North Region (WNR) and almost every household that has received advanced medical care outside the region is more likely to have received such a treatment from the KATH.
It will interest you to know that people from the region have routine medical consultations, advice and other health schedules with specialists working at the KATH.
With regards to health emergencies, Road accident victims and other serious degree injuries that happens within the region are mostly catered for by the KATH.
Data from all hospitals in the WNR indicates that the KATH is just an advance facility that is always available and accessible to the people of the WNR likewise other regions.
In light of this important relationship of service between the WNR and the KATH, it is only fair and necessary that our King Katakyie Kwasi Bumakama and his Chiefs and Elders contribute to this worthy course. Especially as it has the potential not only to unite the Asante region and WNR as well as their traditions but also to save the precious lives of our people like that of the mother of John Nkrumah of Adaborkrom who is currently receiving treatment at the facility.
We by this means encourage the citizenry and organizations with the capacity to join hands with H. R. M. Otumfuor to ensure that KATH is actually healed to keep delivering precious services to the people of Ghana with WNR inclusive.
For the avoidance of doubt, the Forum searched within the WN region and will like to bring to the notice of all and sundry some monumental development initiatives undertaken by Katakyie and the traditional council sothat the world will know that our Omanhene is truly a development oriented person and is focused within the region but also making some good strides outside the jurisdiction.
