You Cannot Rely On Mahama’s Credibility To Revive Your Clumsy Struggle Political Career-Adongo Chides Bawumia
The Finance Committee of Parliament, criticized Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, for challenging John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress’ flagbearer, to an economic debate.
Bawumia recently issued this challenge during a rally in the Northern region, questioning the substance of Mahama’s economic policies, particularly criticizing the proposed 24-hour policy.
Adongo responded by dismissing Bawumia’s challenge as lacking merit, arguing that the Vice President fails to present new policies and instead blames economic challenges on external factors like the Russia-Ukraine conflict and COVID-19.
Adongo suggested that Bawumia’s call for a debate is an attempt to capitalize on Mahama’s popularity to bolster his own political career, rather than offering substantial economic solutions.
Regarding the debate, John Mahama’s campaign team has indicated a reluctance to participate, signaling a stance against engaging in a presidential debate with Dr. Bawumia.
