In an interview with Nyankonton Mu Nsem’s Oheneba Ambrose, some of the residents said the fire was first started after a gas explosion in the area.
He noted that the specific area where the outbreak occurred was Adembra Station.
He reported that several properties were destroyed before the fire service arrived at the scene.
He stated that efforts were made to salvage the property of those affected, but the efforts proved futile.
Meanwhile, the GNFS has launched an investigation into the incident.
