Ambulance Case Part Two: How Nana Addo’s Daughters With Closer Ties Companies Were Paid US$145,000 For Each Ambulance-Okudzeto
The Member of Parliament for the North Tongo Constituency, Ho . Samuel Akudzeto Ablakwa has posted in his X page that, the Akufo-Addo Daughters has Fingered in ambulance Scandal.
The Member of Parliament said, and I quote; The Akufo-Addo Daughters in Ambulance Scandal- How Companies with Closer, Stronger and Deeper Ties were Paid Over US$145,000 for Each Ambulance while those with Weak Connections were Paid US$77,034.46 & US$82,066.57 Per Ambulance
Even when this Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government conspires to engage in naked nepotistic looting, it seems that because of unbridled greed and extreme wickedness against the Ghanaian people they are unable to apply logic.
How can same specs of Mercedes Benz Sprinter 316 CDI ambulance vehicles, all supplied within the same period, and all paid for between 24th and 27th December 2019 by Ken Ofori-Atta have such shockingly wide disparities in prices?
An analysis of GIFMIS payment records of how the companies whose owners have now been unmasked as business partners, associates and a baby daddy of President Akufo-Addo’s daughters triggers even more uncontrollable outrage at the humongous scale of looting.
It’s worth noting that the Bank of Ghana exchange rate in December 2019 was GHS1:US$5.5.
The ambulance payments Ken Ofori-Atta made in 2019 are as follows:
1. RDC Company Limited for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS17,067,138.41 on 27th December, 2019 which translates to US$77,034.46 for each ambulance.
2. Bluemix Company Limited for supplying 35 ambulances was paid GHS15,910,697.68 on 24th December, 2019 which translates to US$82,066.57 for each ambulance.
3. Quality Supplies and Builders Company Limited for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS26,679,812.23 on 27th December, 2019 which translates to US$120,422.35 for each ambulance.
4. BEFT Engineering Works Limited for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS26,694,249.13 on 24th December, 2019 which translates to US$120,476.64 for each ambulance.
5. Luxury World Auto Group Limited for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS32,202,026.99 on 27th December, 2019 which translates to US$145,347.49 for each ambulance.
6. Elok Consult & Services for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS32,203,322.14 on 27th December, 2019 which translates to US$145,353.34 for each ambulance.
7. Prestige Era Company Limited for supplying 40 ambulances was paid GHS32,203,452.19 on 27th December, 2019 which translates to US$145,353.92 for each ambulance.
If RDC Company Limited could procure the same ambulances at US$77,034.46 each; if Bluemix Company Limited could procure at US$82,066.57 per ambulance, why was President Akufo-Addo’s son-in-law, Stephen Okoro, Alvin Mensah and the other gang paid over US$145,000 per ambulance?
What emerges from the evidence is that even amongst the chosen few who were invited to participate in this shady insider single-sourcing transaction, some special cronies and loved ones were more favored than others.
For every US$145,000 payment for one ambulance, Ghana should have received two ambulances.
Why would a President who promised not to run a family and friends government — a President who promised to protect the public purse be committing these atrocities against the Ghanaian people?
Now, because this looting brigade thought they had gotten away with their criminal inflationary pricing on the ambulance purchase, they are back again — this time with an inconceivable US$34.9million ambulance spare parts sweetheart deal.
The Akufo-Addo/Bawumia government is the only government in the world that buys ambulance spare parts in excess of US$113,000 per ambulance for new ambulances with an average market value of US$80,000.00.
With the Ato Forson persecution out of the way, the Ghanaian people are eagerly awaiting the real ambulance prosecution. We demand nothing but justice in this grand US$108million ambulance heist.
May I take a moment to commend highly, the Office of the Special Prosecutor for promptly opening investigations into this matter following my petition, and also for the professional manner in which I was interviewed yesterday by an impressive panel of investigators.
