The national executives of United Cadres Front (UCF) has hinted their preparedness to join the demonstration which scheduled to coming off on 17th September 2024 against the Electoral Commission.

ALL CADRES TO JOIN ANTI-EC DEMO
The National Executive Committee of the United Cadres Front (UCF) directs that, all Cadres should prepare and take part in the nation-wide demonstration on Tuesday 17th September, 2024, as
announced by the National Chairman, Hon. Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, and expressly supported by the
Leader and Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), H.E. John Dramani Mahama.
This clarion call is in solidarity with the NDC and all progressive forces in Ghana to remind the Electoral Commission that, no transparent and certified elections can be conducted with a voters’
register so much infested with illegal transfers even across regions; repetitive persons with same names and pictures but different voter identity numbers.
What seems to be a normal voter registration exhibition to correct name-spellings, omissions, and other minor mistakes has turned out to be a fraudulent exercise that nakedly exposes either the incompetence of the EC or an unholy attempt to undermine the integrity of the electoral processes, obviously to the disadvantage of unsuspecting competitors in the 7th December, 2024 general elections.
We, of the United Cadres Front, strongly believe the recalcitrant posture of the EC, often in the name of being an “independent” body, has gone over the fact that the 1992 Constitution did not
grant that institution the status of “autonomy”; thus, the need for the good people of Ghana to rise up to prevent the imminent chaos and eventual calamity that the Electoral Commission wants to
plunge this country into by adamantly sticking to its resolve to hear nothing; see nothing; and to speak nothing about the need for a forensic audit of the voters’ register in its current form.
