A/R: Foreign Nationalist Exposed For Allegedly Dealing In Expired Canned Assorted Drinks

Intelligence gathered through a reliable source has established that some foreigners mainly Nigerians are dealing in expired varieties of assorted canned drinks at Ash Town Down , a suburb of Kumasi in the Manhyia South constituency of the Ashanti region.
When a team of journalists stormed the premises of the building, they established that these foreign nationalist operates in a warehouses building where the expired assorted canned drinks are repackaged.
When the team got to the warehouse, they found machines used in repackaging and changing of expiry dates of the drinks to meet their own date .
Interactions between the team of journalists and the residents who stormed the premises further confirmed that the assorted expired canned drinks are brought in by articulator trucks from Nigeria which they off load them and repackaged them .
The assembly member for Manhyia Electoral area,Hon. James Owusu Boakye told the media that, the illegal activities of the foreigners have been there for a while and the residents have reported the matter to the Food and Drug Authority and they came and lock up the warehouse and the foreigners came back again.
He however called on the authorities especially the FDA to take another swift action so as to save residents from patronising their products since they are not healthy for public consumption.
