Nyamekrom Chief, Queen Mother, And Nananom Intensifies Plans To Construct Police Station And TVET Center For Community

The chief of Nyamekrom of New Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyapong II, the Queen Mother, Nana Nyarko Afraso l, Nananom, Anou family, and the people of Nyamekrom in the New Juaben tradional area of the Eastern Region has Intensifed plans to construct Police Station, TVET facility for the community.
Speaking to the media, the Chief of Nyamekrom, Nana Kwame Nnuro Agyapong ll explained that the era where chiefs ensured each other with conflicts is gone…in this current dispensation, chiefs are now focusing on how to develop their communities through collective engagement with community members.
Through this core national interest, the chief, Queen Mother, Nananom, and people of Nyamekrom shall be organising homecoming with the core mandate of mobilizing resources to develop and transform the image of the community.
Nana Yaw Wiredu known and called by friends outlined that, the priority areas community leaders shall be focusing on are; TVET, Security, and the improvement of road network, especially the inter-city roads.
Nana kwame Nnuro Agyapong II averred that plans are far advanced to construct a Police Station with accommodation for personnel and a TVET facility to train the youth in the world of ICT since ICT is the engine of the global economy.
According to Nana Nnuro Agyapang II, elders of the community cannot do it alone. Hence, church leaders, Muslims and business people in the community are key actors in the Nyamekrom development drive.
He however appeals to community members, businessmen and women, the diaspora and philanthropists to see the need to collaborate with the chiefs and elders of Nyamekrom to develop and uplift the community’s image.
That not said, he went further to appeal to the president through the Road and Highways Minister to come to the aid of the community road network to enhance the development of Nyamekrom.
