A 10-Year-Old Boy Crys Over High Cost Of Textbooks, As Oforikrom NDC PC Step-In With Financial Assistance
In a heartwarming turn of events, a 10-year-old boy has expressed his frustration over the rising costs of textbooks, drawing attention to a pressing issue faced by many parents. His emotional plea to ask why the cost of textbooks has so much increased, the campaign team of Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed that storms a gutto based in the Oforikrom constituency became amused of the little boy’s question.
The boy in tears asked, “When I was in class four, the English textbook was Ghs55 but when he came to class five, the price of the book had increased to Ghs80, and my school fees also shot up.
The sad story of the young boy prompted Hon. Anwel Sadat Ahmed, the Oforikrom NDC parliamentary candidate, to step in to provide financial assistance for him to enable his father to pay for his school fees.
The Boy’s Plea not only caused mixed feelings among the campaign team but raised concerns about how expensive textbooks have become, making it difficult for parents to afford the necessary materials and fees for their children’s education.
