Ahinsan SDA Singing Band Donates To King Jesus Charsty Home
The Ahinsan Seven Day Adventist (SDA) branch Singing Band numbering 50 members have donated assorted drinks, rices, milk, water, toiletries, and other edible items to King Jesus Charity Home at Boadi in the Oforikrom Municipality of the Ashanti Region.
The leader of the Singing Ban, Mr. Felix Adjei Daniel said, the kind gesture was formed part of the group commitment to give back to the less privileged in society after a Music Concert event was organised by the group.
Speaking to the media, the group leader revealed that the estimated cash spent on the goods is about Ghs 10,000.
Mr. Felix Adjei Daniel reiterated that the kind gesture is not going to be the first and the last, but would continued in the subsequent events of the group in their quest to support the needy in society.
He used the event to advise the citizenry especially the youth not to leave guard of their religious roles as Christians and conduct themselves meaningful in the upcoming elections and deviod of acts that may have the tendency of breeding chaos before, during and after the polls.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the founder Bishop, Kofi Owusu Afriyie, was Prophet, Asante Krobia, Manager of the Orphanage home. In a brief history of the school said, the school was established in 1995 with few students, and students population currently stands at 91 and 14 teaching and non-teaching staff.
Thwarting on some challenges confronting the orphanage mentioned feeding, insufficient facilities, and the trauma in cartering for the children as a challenge and appealed to the government, churches, institutions, and individuals to come to the aid of the orphanage home
