The Ashanti Regional Deputy Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Comrade Emmanuel Reagan Fynn has hinted that the ruling party will have the shock of their lives on December 7th Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The Ashanti Region has been a stronghold for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), but Comrade Fynn believes recent developments suggest that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region will deliver shocking results that will fundamentally alter the region’s political dynamics.
According to him, voters in the region especially the youth, are increasingly disillusioned with the NPP’s performance…with the issue of unemployment, inflation, and economic hardship that have created a fertile ground for discontent.
Speaking to the Daily Democrat newspaper reporter, Benjamin Asalimba in a telephone interview explained that, the youth are yearning for change due to the unavailability of jobs and H. E. John Dramani Mahama is poised to create jobs through the 24-hour economy policy and they have bought into the change of message anytime the party engages them on the campaign trails.
He noted that this year’s election will be focusing on job creation and the youth represents a significant portion of the electorate and they are offoftene catalyst for political change. Additionally, NDC’s strategy towards the 2024 election is to strengthen youth empempowerment the employment sector which is pivotal in this eleelection
Mr. Fynn however, tasked voters in the Ashanti Region and all the sixteen regions to be rest assured that, their votes will be protected and validly counted and go all out and vote for the NDC and John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming polls.
