Tafo Constituency: Enough Is Enough With NPP: We Are For NDC And Lawyer Sahmudeen-Residents
As the political atmosphere is heating up with the upcoming elections, residents of the Tafo Constituency says enough is enough after voting for the New Patriotic Party since the creation of the Constituency.
This time round, they have decided and there is no any monetary influence that can change their decision to vote for the NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Lawyer Sahmudeen and John Dramani Mahama is their ultimate choice in the December 7th Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
Tafo constituency is a traditional seat for the New Patriotic Party since creation, but residents says their demands have not met. The constituency lacks social amenities, accessible healthcare, good road network , finacial support for market women and these are enough concerns tk opt for the Lawyer S. M. Kamil and the NDC.
The Parliamentary Candidate for National Democratic Congress (NDC), Lawyer Sahmudeen Mohammed Kamil told the matcommedia.com in an exclusive interview that, the party is aiming vigorously to win the seat following the intensive campaign of the part and the response from residents tells the success story of the party’s victory in the constituency.
He averred that, since the creation of the Constituency, the NPP has dominated and they are leaving no stone unturned to increase the party’s voters significantly to complement the chances of winning the seat.
Lawyer Sahmudeen, having gained enough experience from the 2020 elections as the parliamentary candidate with a voter record of over 14,000, assured party sympathisers and supporters that this year’s elections will go in the NDC’s favour.
Outlining his policies accomulated to be implemented when he wins the seat, mentioned a non-partisan MP’s office for the constituency, community centres, and MPs Endowment Fund would be established to support the constituency.
Lawyer Kamil was quick to explain that, the non-partisan MP’s office when established will serve the interest of the constituents. This, he noted, will allow residents to have direct one-on-one engagement with the Member of Parliament.
“The track record of Lawyer S. M. Kamil in the constituency has widened his chances”.
According to him, the endowment fund facility would used to support members as soft loans to empower and grow businessmen and women in communities within the constituency.
Additionally, an apprenticeship programme will also be created to support students who may have an interest in learning carpentry, electricals, Mason, tailoring, and other skilled professions.
Lawyer S. M. Kamil reiterated that considering the magnitude of their campaign, the party has projected to win by 48% plus to win the seat convincingly.
He stated emphatically assuring voters that, they have made requisite preparations to protect every vote that would be cast on December 7, 2024, and after the end of the day, NDC will declare the winner.
