Chiefs , elders , opinion leaders, youth and the entire residents within the Adansi North District of the Ashanti region will on Wednesday 13th November, 2024 witness the official commissioning ceremony of a Community Mining Scheme which will go a very long way to offer the opportunity for the teeming youth to engage in Responsible Small Scale Mining.

Even though the yet to be launched Adansi Fomena Community Mining Scheme, which is not the first of this kind in the Adansi north district , a similar one has already been officially commissioned in Adansi Abedwum / Adumanu in 2019 which afforded the youth in and around, Akrokerri, Abedwum, Adumanu , Bobriase and others to engage into a more Responsible Small Scale Community Mining.
The Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources in charge of Mines and the member of parliament for the Tarkwa – Nsuaem constituency, Hon George Mireku Duker, who has been also assigned by His Excellency the Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia as the NPP Campaign Coordinator for Mining Activities will lead a team of officials from the Lands and Natural Resources ministry and the Minerals Commission which they will be joined by the chiefs and people , the District Chief Executive for Adansi North for the official commissioning
