The Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the ruling party, in the Subin Constituency, Lawyer Obiri Yeboah, has revealed to journalists during an interview that, he will take bold and resolving steps to ensure that some inmates in the Kumasi Prisons who ended up in prison with cases deserve justice are given justice when he wins the seat of Parliament in the upcoming election.
The vibrant Lawyer made these remarks after he paid a campaign visit to inmates while offering breakfast to them and interacting with leaders.
The kind gesture, according to him, was not because he’s contesting for the MP’s position, but formed part of his usual individual support he tasked himself to give back to those in need in society and he has been visiting prison inmates in Accra and Kumasi Prison Services is cited in his constituency. However, he cannot do without motivating them to become part of society.
Ĥe used the opportunity to also encourage them to see themselves as all is lost and going to prison is to go and reform to become good citizens in society.
“He cited examples of former South African President, Nelson Mandela and Dr. Kwame Nkrumah going to jail yet, they became great leaders in Africa.
According to him, it’s not going to be the first of a kind, he will continue to visit them and motivate them when the need comes up. He appeals to individuals to spend less of their time visiting the inmates to motivate and encourage them.
