The Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah and the Municipal Chief Executive for the Oforikrom, Hon. Abraham Antwi have called on Ghanaians, especially the people of Asantema, to as a matter of national interest vote massively for the New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and all the party’s parliamentary candidates on the 7th December presidential and parliamentary elections to protect the scraping of the Free Senior High School policy.
He was speaking during the commissioning of two classroom blocks in the municipality.
The two facilities are a 12-unit classroom block at Weweso which was started by Prof. Mills, Mahama administration and a dilapidated 4-unit classroom block at Korte Junior High also turned into a modern edifice.
Commissioning the facilities by the Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah lauded the NPP government led by Nana Addo and Dr Bawumia for placing first education as a priority in their quest to provide free, affordable, and quality education for every Ghanaian school-going child in the country.
Hon. Simon Mensah averred that, 1,178 school projects were awarded on contract, and out of these projects, 920 of them have been completed.
In all aspects of the economy, the NPP has performed unprecedentedly in Ghana’s history, and it’s necessary to retain the NPP on December 7, 2024, to protect the cancellation of the Free SHS policy.
He explained his call for voters to vote for the NPP stressing that, projects that were started by Mahama’s government in the region especially the Afari Military Hospital, Kumawu Hospital, and Fomena Hospital, Bekwai Hospital, are all completed and will soon be commissioned signifies the preparedness of the NPP Party in transforming Asanteman.
